Good register practice

Name both sides

Every interface has two parties and one lead. If you cannot name both, it is a scope question, not an interface yet.

Tie it to a need date

Use the date the downstream party needs the agreed information (e.g. to release a design or a work front), not an arbitrary target.

Close on evidence

Close only against an agreed interface control document, form or minuted agreement — the tool requires a reference before closing.
